If you've made it far enough into our website to read this, you'll know that we've just launched our new website. It has taken Doug many months of spare time and rainy days to completely re-write the site. Sometimes rewarding, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately, it's done.
One of the best bits to this process has been looking through all our old photos, of which there are literally thousands. We've kept some originals from the old site, but have also used many hitherto unseen shots. Many of the new photos were taken in the summer months, but a few outside shots have been taken over this winter simply because with all the trees bare, you can actually see the house and gites better.
There is still a page to view the wonderful video which takes you for a virtual tour of what to expect on a visit to Chez Jallot. There is also a gallery showing some of our favourite photos, old and new.
Our lounge/dining room is about to be repainted with new furniture on order, so for the moment we've left in the previous photos. The hallway is also on our list of refurbishments for the coming months. All will be finished before Easter in time for our re-opening and guest arrivals.
Just before Christmas we sent out some emails to addresses on our mailing list , perhaps not all. Please don't be offended if you didn't get one, we simply ran out of time and headed off for a family Christmas in the UK. Although we're closed for the winter, we're looking forward to re-opening at Easter.
An offer of free holidays at Chez Jallot had a good response. Well, worded like that, it would. We're offering working holidays from 17th March, going into April. Free accommodation and food and drink, in exchange for 4 hours work each day , all available spaces are now taken up with a total workforce of 15 people. We may do it again next year.
Wishing everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year, and hoping to see you on a visit to Chez Jallot.
