Deni and Doug offer you a warm welcome to their Grand Designs manor house.
Set in the heart of France's least known Department, namely La Creuse, Chez Jallot offers peace and tranquillity in luxury accommodation. There is a choice of bed and breakfast with evening meals and self-catering holiday homes. This imposing house was recently rebuilt after destruction 73 years ago, and now presents guests with a delightful experience, combining modern facilities with bourgeois splendour in this beautiful old country manor.
The gardens offer many areas in which to relax, explore, mingle with other guests, to enjoy a quiet glass of wine and a good book. The surrounding areas offer unlimited walking, cycling and exploring and just a short drive away there are beaches and boating on perhaps the largest lake in France. The countryside, towns and villages around offer an interesting choice of activities to really enjoy a holiday in the area.
Chez Jallot was featured in Channel 4's Grand Designs Abroad, presented by Kevin McCloud. This UK TV programme is now broadcast throughout the world and visitors often enjoy a multinational evening around the dining table.

They've proved that through sheer dogged optimism it's possible to tackle almost anything. And what I have learned is that building abroad isn't about filling in forms or learning to speak the language fluently. It';s about waking up every morning and reminding yourself what it was that inspired you to come here in the first place.
Free night at Chez Jallot. - Four nights for the price of three from the 5th to the 30th April 2012.
The call for volunteers has worked out really well, there has been such a response that we are now turning people away. We will have to see what the list of jobs will be for next year and perhaps we will do the same thing again in 2013.
There have been two lots of guests in the Gites so far this year and it seems..... read more
