With the construction of bridges and wooden walkways, you can follow the waterfalls of Morne and discover the mysterious Wood of the Ox. The name of the latter comes from a legend that an ox had formerly drowned in "the tortuous waters of Morne". The ruins of the Chezeau mill and an old felt hat factory are still visible and these reflect the presence of the old activities that were dependent on the driving force of water.

Halfway along the route you will find a fountain of drinking water to quench your thirst before reaching the protected site of Mazuras rocks, the highest point of the valley at 626 meters. Not far from here you can visit the chapel of Mazuras and return to Bourganeuf.
