The area of Creuse between Bourganeuf and Royère-de-Vassivière has a rich natural heritage & culture and one great way of discovering this, is to walk the “Grandes Randonnées de Pays” (GRP) which has been established between these two towns.  A circular route of 65 kilometres in length is one which can be accomplished in 4 days (2 days by mountain bike) but can be extended or shortened depending upon your desired pace and time available to complete the walk.

The route winds across this vast countryside of mysterious forests and enchanting waterfalls, with granite and water always present. Moors & peat bogs and their rare and protected environments, will delight naturalists in search of fauna and flora. The traditional villages, through which the walker will pass, are full of heritage left by the Creuse masons of old.  Around every corner there will be something to discover.

As with my other walking packages, you just have to turn up, put your walking boots on and enjoy the experience. I'll provide the luxury and relaxing accommodation, the well-deserved evening meal after a day's walking, the hearty breakfast to get you ready for the day ahead and of course, transport to and from the start & finish points of each day. I'll even loan you the maps so that you can find your way.
